Honey Moon Sweets made us a gorgeous, wonderful wedding cake at a true value for the money. Plus, they made the cake taste testing process very fun! Our cake was delivered on time, looked absolutely beautiful & got rave, rave, rave reviews.

I only went to one bakery to taste for my wedding cake - my new hubs actually is not a cake fan so I knew I had to be selective as I really wanted him to come and I knew he wouldn't make it to more then one tasting so I had to nail it!
I selected Honeymoon Sweets because I knew that Whole Foods offered their desserts, and Whole Foods and I are good friends and I trust his opinion. There are some poor reviews out there, but we decided to roll the dice and wow was I glad that we did.
We had nothing but great service from them - the phone service was a little sketchy like they were multi-tasking while talking to me, but really I can't fault them because I do the very same thing at work. What matters is that they nailed our cake. I actually came in with a sketch of how I wanted my cake to look, which is I think kind of a risky proposition versus going with a tried and true design. The sales lady checked with the cake designer and they said they could do my design, and best of all, with just buttercream frosting to support the design, which is great because fondant is nasty and $$$. So we tasted all the flavors and decided on lemon cake with raspberry mousse (yum) and chocolate cake with coconut cream (double yum). I actually changed the chocolate flavor to red velvet a few weeks before the wedding because unbeknownst to me a lot of people don't like coconut, and the red velvet was a total hit.
So how did the design turn out??? ( I will post a photo). AMAZING. I was so nervous as I arrived at the venue and we were taking pictures my thoughts kept drifting over to the cake. I was a little freaked out thinking how it would look, again, only because of the few negative reviews, not because of anything I experienced. So finally I grew some cajones and went to look at the cake. Holy cow it was awesome. It was better then I imagined. After a few friends posted pics on facebook tons of people commented on how cool the cake was.
So huge high five to Honey Moon Sweets. We did not have a cake with our package so we had a choice, and we are glad we chose you. The cake vendor is one you don't get to see or thank at your wedding, so I want to thank your staff and your cake designer for knocking this one out of...

I went through Honey Moon Sweets for my wedding cake because I remember how delicious my sister’s wedding cake was and she had used them. The cake turned out just like the photo I had given them that I wanted it to look like. And both flavors were absolutely delicious

Our daughter was married on 11-11-2011 at the Doubletree Guests Suites here in Phoenix and the wedding cake was included in the package from the hotel. The cake was simple but beautiful just like our daughter wanted. She chose red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and white cake with bavarian filling. Everyone raved about the cake and how delicious and moist it was. I would defnately recommend this bakery to anyone.

me and my fiance went to go and do the cake testing which ended up not being much of a testing at all. the cakes we chose to get were not available for testing which we found odd? we came in with our own original idea and was then changed by the manager because they could not make the top tear customizable to our needs. After consulting with them we finally changed our original idea to something that was do-able. They said they were willing to work with us in our budget range to make it happen which made us very happy :) but shortly after leaving we receive a call from manager saying that the cake we want will be an extra $400 dollars because they needed to make it for double the amount of guests showing up because that would be the only way they could make it for us the way we originally decided to do it which was simply (2 square tiers on bottom & 1 round tier one on top) there only flexibility for us was to change all tiers to circles, which we are not at all happy with. it saddens us to know that they were really that unprofessional and that there was nothing they could work out. I WOULD NOT recommend going here, this place is an over priced non negotiable bakery

I used Honey Moon Sweets for a specialty groom's cake that turned out amazing! I had requested a 3-D St. Louis Cardinals cake in the shape of the Cardinal and thats exactly what I got! They were extremely easy to work with and were flexible with delivery times as it was a surprise to my husband! We loved the cake and it was definitely a show stopper to his whole family from St. Louis! Thanks Honey Moon Sweets!

I am thrilled with how my wedding cake turned out! Laverna was wonderfully helpful and easy to work with. She gave us some great suggestions during our consultation, and I love how our cake turned out. Not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious too!!! Thank you so much Honey Moon Sweets! You made our night!

Our wedding cake looked amazing. I had wanted something that didn't look contrived or 'cathedral,' and Honey Moon Sweets did a beautiful job. I had initially wanted the cake to have a natural, organic look with mixed loose flowers scattered on it and no formal cake topper. I made the mistake of ordering a cake topper through a florist shop, but Honey Moon Sweets was able to 'borrow' flowers from the cake topper as well as some loose bunches that I picked up and turn it into a lovely, more organic, cake topping masterpiece.

Because our cake was part of our wedding package through Ocotillo, our job mosty consisted of selecting the style and flavor of cake. The cake turned out beautifully and Honeymoon Sweets was very receptive to our suggestions towards our cake design. We were not particulary impressed with the taste of the chocolate cake so we went with all white cake and a filling of raspberrry and bavarian cream. Pretty tasty!

We had our wedding at The Moon Valley Country club and the cake from Honeymoon Sweets was part of the package. I am not much of a cake person, so imagine my surprise when our cake turned out to be truly delicious! We chose 2 tiers of Red Velvet with cream cheese filling, and one tier that was lemmon with bavarian cream and whole fresh blueberries (at the chef's suggestion). Both were delicious. In fact we have been enjoying wedding cake all week at home since the big day. Thie service was outstanding, and the whole tasting experience was fun and laid back. They even allowed my six year old to participate in the fun. Thanks for a great product...it was a great experience.

Amazing cake! Some of the people that work there aren't as friendly as I would have liked them to be, but the cake is out-of-this-world!! Happy Moon Valley recommended them to me!

It came as a package from the Embassy Suites in Tempe and I had never heard of them. However, it was AMAZING! I had this idea of what I wanted and that is exactly what I got. We loved the cake so much that we also got one for my bridal shower (just as delicious). The cake is something that is important because it's usually the one dessert of the evening, and everyone remembers it. Our cake was fresh and beautiful. I am so happy that it was amazing and still remember the taste of my Honeymoon Sweet's wedding cake.

Honeymoon Suites did an amazing job on our wedding cake! It was absolutely beautiful! I didn't want to cut it...but once we did, it was the most tasteful and moist cake! The people there are not very friendly to work with, and gave me a very bad feeling at first. But, with all the rave I had heard about them, I decided to stay with them...it was so worth it! They definitely know their stuff! I just wish they would change their attitudes in the store when customers are in there doing their cake tasting.

Honeymoon Sweets makes an amazing cake! They can seem a bit abrupt at first, but boy they know their stuff and give a quality product. Our tasting was quite fun and delicious. The cake was delivered without any difficulty and was amazing. We heard lots of compliments from our wedding guests. I would definitely use them again.

I met with this bakery to make my wedding cake several months before the big day. Originally I brought pictures that depicted the three different layers I wanted (polka dots on one, stripes on another, and words on the middle one). The woman I met with at first was very rude and kept thinking I wanted the entirety of the pictures all mixed together or something and kept telling me how bad that would look over and over again. Once I explained everything to her and made a comment about how I was expecting a little more professionalism based on the reviews I had read, she became much nicer.
However, on my wedding day they designed the cake wrong. Square layers, stripes on the top, polka dots on the bottom, all done great! The words? Non existent. They just didn't do it at all. No one else noticed, and it tasted fabulous, but I don't understand how they can justify, when they have a sketch of the cake on file and a record of it that the woman I met with wrote down, not matching the cake. I would use them again based on the flavor but wouldn't trust them with anything beyond a simple design.

White chocolate mouse with fresh raspberries in an almond nut flavored cake with butter-cream frosting... what more can I say?!
Great friendly people who make amazing cakes. Mine was both delicious and looked incredible.
I highly recommend HoneyMoon Sweets.
