Hair & Makeup by Melissa Glass

Melissa was fabulous. She came to my house and did a trial run of both hair and makeup several weeks before the wedding. She did a wonderful job on my hair, although, I ended up not using her for my hair on the wedding day only because I was too nervous to have her do both hair and makeup on 5 people. I was afraid about timing. I would recommend her for hair though. She also did makeup, which I was very pleased with. She was able to bring out the best features in myself and my bridesmaids without overdoing it and while respecting the personal preferences of each – some never wear makeup and felt better with minimal accentuation. I have received so many complements on how great we all look in the pictures. She was such a sweet person to visit with too. I would definitely consider going to her in the future for makeup (and hair) if needing done for another event.

I gave Melissa the best possible rating because she truly is the BEST! I was referred to Melissa through a friend of a friend a month prior to my wedding. I was paniced as I had been through several hair stylists and not cared for any of them. For my trial session I brought Melissa a picture of how I wanted to wear my hair on my wedding day and she nailed it. In fact, I had her do my hair for our rehearsal dinner as well. I received many, many complaiments. On my wedding day I was a bit nervous as I just wanted perfection... and perfection I got!!! First, Melissa made my day so easy and fun! She came to me and not only nailed my updo again but also made my bridesmaids beautiful per their request. It was Perfect! Melissa did my wedding makeup, and the makeup for my mom and maid of honor. She did an amazing job, finding that perfect balance between special occasion and done up for the camera and still looking natural and like myself. She really listened to what i wanted and found a way to amplify my best characteristics. She is also super nice, which I thought was important on your wedding day!She was happy to make time for an in-home trial, and to come to our hotel to do our makeup on location. I would happily recommend Melissa to anyone who wants to look her best on her wedding day.
